It is not the first time that we comment on Yoshihiro Maedaanimation director for the anime adaptation of the manga Prison School (Kangoku Gakuen), and recently made another update via his official Twitter account revealing a new panel that didn’t make it to the anime adaptation, at least not entirely.
The panel in question shows a girl with her panties down while her crotch is drawn in detail, although obviously without detailing her private parts. However, according to Maeda, this panel didn’t quite make it into animation, as it was edited. «The production team said they were sorry, but the crotch would be totally blacked out.», he wrote in his publication.
And so it was, in the original sketch we can see that, although her private parts are not detailed, part of her right buttock can be seen from her crotch. However, apparently the panel was “too much” for the controllers, so it was decided to darken the entire area in its transfer to animation.which was in the OVA Prison School: Mad Waxreleased in March 2016 as part of the original manga’s 20th compiled book volume.
Akira Hiramoto published the original manga through the magazine Weekly Young Magazine from the publisher Kodansha in February 2011, ending it in December 2017 with a total of twenty-eight compilation volumes. The play inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by studios. JCSTAFFreleased in July 2015.
This work is as loved as it is hated by fans, especially loved by those who only saw the anime adaptation. In the words of the fans: «This manga is the perfect example of what happens when the author runs out of ideas and starts experimenting with useless plot twists, destroying the character development and the entire story in the process. I was disappointed, the ending is very crude and feels forced».
Sinopsis de Prison School
Hachimitsu Private Academy, an elite all-girls high school, opens its grand doors to male students for the first time in its history. However, the five boys who enroll are a merry band of perverts unable to communicate with the girls. This group of misfits is made up of the foreign delinquent Shingo, the strange and sickly “Jo”, the obese “Andrei”, the intelligent “Gakuto” and Kiyoshi, the most normal of the group. Feeling disturbed by their lack of female interaction, the five boys embark on a dangerous mission to spy on several girls while they are taking baths.
However, due to a series of mishaps, their operation ends up failing, exposing the boys’ actions to the entire school. For their crimes, the boys are sentenced to a month in prison by the menacing Underground Student Council. What the ruthless beauties of the council don’t know is that the boys’ wicked and unusual antics will only get worse.
