The brewing industry giant AB Inbev announced on Friday via a press release that it would not be traveling to Qatar next November for the 2022 World Cup. AB Inbev, which notably produces the famous Jupiler beer, believes that we could “do more” to promote human rights in Qatar.
AB Inbev follows the example of several other sponsors of the Belgian team: ING Belgium, the Carrefour chain of stores, the chocolate giant Côte d’Or or the delivery company GLS have already made it known that they would not participate in the 2022 World Cup and its promotion.
