The group has ‘apologized’ for this latest cyberattack on Israel, saying it should have been faster
Islamist hacker group Anonymous Sudan claimed on Tuesday that it hacked into Israeli rocket warning systems, including the Iron Dome, on Tuesday amid a barrage of rockets fired from the Gaza Strip.
The hacker group claimed on its Telegram channel that it had successfully taken down the websites of rocket warning services Cumta, Red Alert, Halamish and Evigilo, and targeted some of their smartphone apps. All four sites are still down on schedule, but smartphone apps appear to be working, according to the JPost.
The organization also said it had disabled so many systems that the Iron Dome, Israel’s main air defense system, was not receiving all alerts, preventing it from intercepting all fire.
The hacker group, however, has “apologized” for this latest cyberattack, saying it should have “been faster”. “We sincerely apologize for being a little late in bringing down the alert system, due to the current weak internet in Sudan. Unfortunately, there are a lot of outages,” the group wrote on Telegram. .
“Toexpect an internet outage at any time”
He added that he was working on other attacks once morest Israel, noting that he had been successful so far. “We are 100% sure that there has been internet disruption,” wrote Anonymous Sudan. “Expect an internet outage at any time”.
On April 27, the group claimed to be causing widespread blackouts across the country, writing, “Is darkness a good thing? Why don’t you have electricity ?”
On April 14, Anonymous Sudan claimed responsibility for a cyberattack that affected the Israel Post as well as Bank Leumi, Discount Bank, Mizrahi-Tefahot, Bank Mercantile, Bank Benleumi (First International Bank of Israel) and its subsidiaries Bank Otzar Ha-hayal and Bank Massad.
In mid-April, the group of hackers attacked airports, hospitals and universities in France.
