BARNSTON WEST. As part of its annual fundraising campaign, the Rozynski Art Center wishes to raise the sum of $20,000.

General director of this cultural institution in Barnston-Ouest, Aude Gendreau-Turmel emphasizes that the donations collected will be used to continue the mission of the organization. “In past years, we have put forward certain projects, including the redevelopment of the entrance and certain rooms to make them universally accessible. This time, the funds will go towards the maintenance of the building, which, it must be said, is aging. We must therefore take care of the legacy that was offered to us by the Rozynskis,” she says.

Note that the fundraising campaign lasts until December 31. It is possible to make a donation via the website artsrozynski.com.

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES

The Rozynski Art Center will shortly unveil its winter programming. There will be various courses, such as intensive turning, glaze chemistry and shaping, as well as glass blowing and raku firing workshops.

The great ceramic festival, Céramystic, will return in 2024. The event will be renamed “Ceramics at Way’s Mills” and will take place a little earlier in the season, to cover two long weekends, namely National Day and Canada Day, from June 20 to July 2. A call for applications will be launched soon for artists who wish to participate.
