Ajman, 1st October / WAM / The Ajman Municipality and Planning Department honored the distinguished engineering consulting offices and building contracting companies in the emirate for obtaining a five-star rating and non-fungible tokens (NFT).
This came during the fourth forum on the star classification system for classifying establishments working in the field of development and construction, and honoring the best distinguished practices in the field of building contracting and engineering consulting activities at the level of the Emirate of Ajman.
The development model for classification standards was also announced, which will be applied in the upcoming sessions, which comes within the framework of the department’s endeavor to achieve sustainable development of the building and construction sector.
His Excellency Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, confirmed that the Department seeks to enhance positive competition between all entities and institutions operating in the Emirate of Ajman, to provide the best and advance the wheel of urban development and continuous construction, indicating that the Department wanted, in the fourth forum, to highlight the best distinguished practices and imitate those who deserve other symbols. Exchangeable NFT, to support and enhance the efforts made to elevate the emirate and advance it in various fields.
The department announced that the offices of Pro Arc Engineering Consultations and Al Sahel Engineering Consultations Office were honored with a five-star rating and deserve NFT codes, while the offices of Al Kindi, Urban Heritage, and Design deserved a five-star rating and were honored for providing distinguished practices at the level of engineering consulting activities. The offices of EG Design, the Nakheel Office, and the Office Next and Mazaya Office received a five-star rating, and Future Dream Office and Al-Emad Engineering Consulting Office deserved to be honored for the office that provided distinguished practices at the level of engineering consulting activities.
His Excellency honored the building contracting companies that received the five-star rating and NFT tokens, and presented distinguished practices at the level of building contracting activities. Zamalek General Contracting and Gulf Asia Building Contracting deserved the honor, while Al-Rehab Company deserved the five-star rating and non-fungible tokens, and Prestige Construction and the Office of Prestige Construction received the honor. Sondos Building Contracting received a five-star rating and honored the best distinguished practices. Al-Dawliyya, Al-Ghanim, Al-Sabki and Al-Taameer companies, in addition to Al-Maali Building Contracting Company, received five stars, and Bu Humaid Building Contracting Office deserved to be honored for distinguished practices in implementation and commitment to quality and safety.
The ceremony for classifying consulting offices and contracting companies was attended by directors of local and private entities and institutions in the emirate, executive directors of all consulting offices and contracting companies, and the media.
His Excellency appreciated the results achieved by the classification system for engineering consulting offices and contracting companies operating in the emirate, as it worked to introduce every individual in society to the best entities working in the field of construction and development.
His Excellency said that organizing the forum for the fourth time in a row demonstrates its success in achieving the desired goal of its launch, to be an incentive for progress and a compass for those wishing to achieve leadership in the field of excellence and prosperity.
For his part, Dr. Engineer Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector at the Department, expressed his happiness at meeting once more at the fourth Consultants and Contractors Forum for the Star Rating System, appreciating everyone’s keenness to adhere to the best standards and raise the level of service provision, indicating that the Department is currently witnessing a noticeable increase. For his part, Engineer Khalifa Abdullah Al Falasi, Director of the Department of Buildings at the Department, announced the development model for classification standards, which will be applied in the upcoming sessions as part of the Department’s endeavor to achieve sustainable development of the building and construction sector, and its keenness on permanent development and continuous improvement in all its projects.
The criteria for classifying engineering consulting offices include: office readiness, training and development, adherence to building regulations and strategy, in addition to the building design quality standard, which is a new standard related to the general appearance and quality of the building, adherence to the human dimension, office readiness and strategy, and adherence to building regulations with regard to contracting offices and their workers.
The forum included the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman and the Emirates Society of Engineers. The memorandum was signed on behalf of the department by Dr. Engineer Mohammed Al Muhairi, while Engineer Rashad Mohammed Bukhash, Secretary General of the Society, signed on behalf of the association.
Engineer Rashad Mohammed Bukhash stressed the importance of the memorandum of understanding in enhancing cooperation and coordination with the department in the engineering field and joint work areas, which reflects the keenness of government agencies in the various emirates of the country to establish principles of cooperation and exchange experiences and expertise.
The memorandum includes organizing training courses for engineers of the Municipality and Planning Department in the Emirate of Ajman and exchanging experiences and knowledge, in addition to coordinating mutual field visits, as well as testing the engineers of consulting offices and contracting companies and classifying them according to their experience.
