3DRealms, the publisher back from the dead to bombard us with retro games, announced a new title during Realms Deep 2022: Phantom Fury, the sequel to Ion Fury. If its predecessor was clearly inspired by Duke Nukem 3D and games running on Build Engine, Phantom Fury is moving towards Duke Nukem Forever (the 2001 version) and full 3D FPS from the 2000s.
On the program, a road trip across the United States during which we will face soldiers, monsters and robots using a large choice of weapons, powers and vehicles. The developers also promise extensive interaction with the environments. And, surprise, Phantom Fury also seems to make the link with the Sin license, since we find the main character there as well as a well-known gun from the game.
Phantom Fury will be released in 2023 on Steam and consoles.
