Only Italian citizens can benefit from the scheme introduced by the local administration, under which they can own a house for one euro.

According to the report, 90 percent of the houses in the village of Castropagnano, located in the southern region of Molise, Italy, are empty because the residents have moved to other areas along with their families.

In order to increase the population in the beautiful area located at the foot of the mountains, the government fixed the price of the house at one euro, which is about 195 rupees in Pakistani currency.

The report states that these villages are located at an hour’s drive from the city where government hospitals have also been established by the government.

The government has called this resettlement campaign the ‘One Euro Scheme’, under which now people living in other regions of Italy can choose the house of their choice and settle there.

A few conditions have also been imposed by the government on the buyer, under which he will not be able to carry out construction and repair work on the house until the documents are provided to him by the local administration.

Full ownership rights and documents will be provided to the buyer by the local administration within a few months.

The buyer will be obliged not to leave the house before three years, in this context the local authority will also sign an agreement with the owner under which he will have to deposit three thousand euros as a security deposit, three years. This amount will be returned to him after the expiry of the period.

The mayor of Nikola said that citizens have a rare opportunity to take advantage of the scheme and come to the area to open their own shops or restaurants, while buyers should also be allowed to do other businesses.
