Announcement of No Labels Foundation at Tania’s Met Gala

More than 300 guests including talents, doctors, financiers, lawyers, beauty queens, actors and singers joined the announcement of the No Labels Foundation, dedicated to serving families with autistic relatives.

The event was held on April 15 at the exclusive Hotel Embajador in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on the occasion of the birthday of Dr. Tania Medina, the “Singing Doctor.” Medina is a renowned plastic surgeon, life coach, best-selling author, singer, model, and television presenter.

The event, called Tania’s Met Gala, focused on fashion and world icons. Among the guests were public figures such as Giselle Blondet, Chiki bom bom, Carlos Adyan, Jomari Goyso, Génesis Suero, Carolina Sandoval, Marysol Terrazas, Niño Prodigio, Gianina Azar, Robmariel Olea, Jorge Hernandez, Ingrid Macher, Andreina Martinez, Julia Alzate , Yosy Finol and Zoila Luna. The surgeon took advantage of this unforgettable moment to announce the ‘Sin Etiquetas’ foundation, inspired by Pablito, her autistic son and which was created with the aim of helping children with special needs.

“I believe that in the Dominican Republic, my country, we do not have the appropriate tools to deal with this type of case. Through this entity we support parents who have children with this special condition, so that they learn to give their children therapies. Getting children to be treated in cycles and in an organized way, when a child can already live functionally, we will continue with another one”, Medina stated.

The ‘Tania’s Met Gala’ celebration began with a parade on the red carpet in which each of the guests wore outfits, inspired by different periods of the famous gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York.

Medina showed five dresses, including one inspired by the look that Blake Lively wore to the 2018 Met Gala, those in charge of creating it were the Dominican designer Joel Reyes and the renowned image consultant Eddy Gomez, this was a red dress that was It is form-fitting at the top and has hundreds of pieces of rhinestones, and was accompanied with a baroque crown of crystals and cross earrings. All the doctor’s looks were recreated by Reyes and Gómez, accessorized mostly by Swarovski Atelier.

At the hotel entrance, an interpretation of modern art was appreciated, with a painting mounted on an easel and a model pretending to be the painter, set with a live violinist. There was also a presentation of the covers of international magazines in which Dr. Medina has participated, such as Forbes, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, among others.

The theme of Tania’s Met Gala was Tania Fashion Icon come back to the red carpet and each of the guests was inspired by their favorite Met Gala look for their outfit. In addition, the artists Jandy Ventura, Chiquito Team Band and Mark B performed, who delighted the guests with merengue, salsa and urban music.
