The Iranian-backed Lebanese resistance militant group Hezbollah fired more than 100 rockets at Haifa, Israel‘s third-largest city, on October 7, the anniversary of the Hamas attack.

According to the news agency “Reuters”, in the statement issued by the Israeli army, it was said that until 5 pm on Monday, about 135 missiles entered the Israeli territory.

Hezbollah, a Hamas ally, said it hit a military base south of Haifa with “Fadi 1” missiles and later other areas north of Haifa.

Hezbollah also said it launched another attack on Tiberias, 65 kilometers (40 miles) away on the coast of the Sea of ​​Galilee.

A statement from the Israeli army said that five rockets were fired from Lebanon towards Haifa, a major Mediterranean port, and interceptors fired at them.

Ten people were reported injured in the Haifa region and two more in central Israel.

Israel also intercepted two drones launched from the east on Monday, when sirens went off in the central areas of Rishon Lezion and Palmachim, the Israeli army said.

health ministry said 10 firefighters were killed in an Israeli air strike on a municipal building in the border town of Bint Jbeil, and 22 people were killed in other airstrikes in parts of southern and eastern towns on Sunday.
