The Press Museum of the Association of Editors of Daily Newspapers of the Peloponnese, Epirus and Islands (ESHEPIN), as every year on these days, organizes an anniversary exhibition on the occasion of the declaration of the Greek Revolution of March 25, 1821. For this reason, it designed its exhibition space with relevant historical material, while authentic relics and forms belonging to the collection of the Press Museum of ESIEPIN will be exhibited.

Among the exhibits that the visitors of the Press Museum will have the opportunity to see are manuscripts (the minutes of the 3rd National Assembly to I. Kapodistrias who was invited by the candidates on 6/4/1827 to take over as Governor of Greece, the oath of the Greeks officers dated 21/3/1822, letter of Theodoros Kolokotronis to the National Assembly to release the Valtetziotes on 21/3/1827 ca.), newspapers: (original of the newspaper “Ellinika Chronika” dated 7/9/1824, the ” Friend of the Law” published in Hydra dated 1825), “Apollon” published in Hydra dated 1831, the “Government Gazette” dated 6/17/1835 which mentions Othon’s acquittal decision for T. Kolokotronis and I Plaputa etc.), historical publications (“Hermes the Scholar” published in Vienna in 1816 approx.).

The specific action of the Board of Directors of the Press Museum is addressed both to school students, who by visiting the exhibition will have the opportunity to see up close some of the most important exhibits of the cultural body of ESIEPIN, as well as to individual visitors.

The exhibition started today, Monday, March 4 and will last until Thursday, April 4. The ESIEPIN Press Museum is located at 200 Maizonos Street (Patra) and is open every day, from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
