Anna Vissi: “After a 51-year career, the point is not to sell tickets but to have progress” – 2024-07-19 03:24:54

Anna Vissi gave an interview. The top performer, on the occasion of her two concerts in Crete on July 17 and 18 in Heraklion and Chania respectively, opened her papers regarding her long career in music, the passion she still has for singing, as well as her collaboration with Nikos Karvelas.

“After a 51-year career I might only be grateful. I think my relationship with time is normal, it only scares me under certain conditions, of ceasing to be who I am, ceasing to be well. The wear and tear that comes with time is unfortunately a given and we should resist as best we can”, says Anna Vissi.

“It’s not regarding selling tickets, it’s regarding giving people what they expect and maybe more. This is what I strive for with Nikos Karvelas and my collaborators on stage. The times always require you to evolve,” the singer emphasizes.

“With Nikos (Karvelas) we will always prepare something. Making a new play is still under consideration, a theme has to be found, like “Demons”, “Mala” and “Edelweiss Bells” had. It is not something that is being planned”, answered Anna Vissi to a related question.
