The incident occurred during the match of the 15th round of the Turkish championship.
Ankaragucu President Faruk Koca punched referee Halil Umut Meler in the face following the match once morest Rizespor. Koca and two others were detained by Turkish police.
The game ended in a 1:1 draw – Rizespor forward Adolfo Gaich, on loan from CSKA, scored in the 97th minute.
