Aníbal Lotocki broke the silence: “I am not a plastic surgeon”
In February 2022, the doctor Aníbal Lotocki was sentenced to 4 years in prison for serious injuries and 5 years of disqualification from practicing his profession by the Buenos Aires Oral Criminal and Correctional Court (TOC) No. 28 following the complaints made by Silvina Luna and other patients affected by malpractice.

“I am very sorry for the kidney disease that Silvina Luna has, it seems terrible to me. I imagine that someone is going to have surgery because she wants to look better, and that she ends up with a problem for life, I feel very bad. We do not want to harm anyone as professionals. If someone had told me that this approved product was going to cause a kidney problem in one person, I would not have used it. I haven’t used it for a long time,” she continued.
Later, Lotocki acknowledged that he has a conviction. “It is true that there is a sentence, I have never denied it but the sentence is not for the diseases that the patients have had, because there is no causal damage. There is a judicial interpretation that is under review and one is innocent until proven otherwise, right? The sentence is for a side effect of the product, ”he assured.
One of the journalists at the table asked him why he did not apologize and his response was blunt. “Sorry for using a permitted product that caused you a problem? So I apologize for that. If I had used a product that was prohibited, it would be nice if it was condemned, but it is not the case. There are tests of Silvina Luna from 2010 that indicate that she had very high gamma globulins that might have caused kidney failure. She would have to sue the State that allowed this product”.

And the doctor clarified that he asked for all the necessary tests to be able to operate on her. “I asked her for the corresponding analyzes before operating her. All the patients who underwent surgery were fit for surgery. If not, no one would die.”
Then, he added a personal data. “My wife is wearing the same product that I put on Silvina Luna and she has no problem.
