Anhui teenager gets electrocuted while playing bumper cars after taking exams before his birthday

Bumper car electrocuted

A 13-year-old boy from Huainan, Anhui Province, went to a playground in Panji District to play bumper cars with a few classmates after his exams on Monday. He was electrocuted unexpectedly. The family mentioned that Tuesday happened to be the deceased’s 14th birthday, and his parents were overwhelmed with grief and were “hanging salt water” in the hospital.

Some mainland media quoted witnesses as saying that at first, the classmates thought the teenager was pretending to be dead and “kept calling him”. One of the classmates was also electrocuted afterward. The amusement park involved said that the voltage of the bumper car is very low, and it is impossible to electrocute people. It also emphasized that two plumbers check and test various amusement facilities before opening the door every day. The playground involved has been closed, and the person in charge is under police control.

Nanjing roller coaster parks vertically in mid-air

In addition, at an amusement park in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, a roller coaster hovered vertically in the air for more than ten minutes on several floors (pictured). The park emphasized that it was not a mechanical failure, but that two boys on the roller coaster were afraid and pressed the button. The emergency stop button was pressed, and the passengers were then brought to the ground by the staff, and no one was injured. Mainland netizens have questioned, “Can tourists press the emergency stop by themselves?”
