Antwerp was the scene of a violent fight on Monday evening. Indeed, the passenger of a De Lijn bus got angry when he might not get out. The driver would have forgotten to open the doors and would have quickly started once more, which prevented the passenger from exiting at the expected stop.
The latter then complained to the driver and the tone rose. The driver grabbed this disgruntled passenger by the collar and pulled him towards him.
One of the passengers, Nathan Van den Brande, filmed the incident on board bus 182 and recounts: “The passenger reacted by slapping the driver. After this blow, a violent fight broke out between them. Finally, one of the passengers intervened. The police had already been notified at that time”, he confides to HLN.
