Angelina Jolie has spoken strongly about the war between Hamas and Israel

Movie star Angelina Jolie commented on October 7. attack and wrote on her Instagram account: “Like millions of people around the world, I have spent the last few weeks outraged and angry at the terrorist attack in Israel, the loss of so many innocent civilians, and wondering how best to help.”

Jolie added: “I also pray for the immediate and safe return of every hostage, and I pray for the families who are suffering unimaginable pain from the killing of a loved one.” Above all, I pray for the murdered children and for the many orphaned children. What happened in Israel is an act of terrorism. But that cannot justify the innocent lives lost in the bombing of civilian Gazans who have nowhere to go, no access to food or water, no way to evacuate, and no even the basic right to cross the border and seek refuge.”

“Having worked with refugees for 20 years, my focus is on people who have been displaced by violence in all circumstances,” said the actress and longtime goodwill ambassador.

“More than 2 million people live in Gaza. people (half of them children) who lived under a strict blockade for almost two decades, and were also displaced and stateless for decades, she emphasized. – The few aid trucks coming in represent only a fraction of what is needed (and what was being delivered daily until the current conflict), and the bombings are creating new desperate humanitarian needs every day.

Jolie went on to condemn the “refusal to provide aid, fuel and water” as it collectively punishes all people, including innocent civilians and children.

“Humanity demands an immediate ceasefire. The lives of Palestinians and Israelis – and the lives of all people in the world – are equally important, she concluded. – Everything must be done to prevent civilian casualties and save lives. Like many others, I have donated to medical relief efforts. I chose to support the activities of Doctors Without Borders and follow their messages closely.”

A. Jolie worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for more than 20 years and was a goodwill ambassador.
