Jolie filed a motion to dismiss the case with prejudice on September 25 and, according to US media Page Six, both parties will be responsible for paying her legal fees.
The ‘Maleficent’ actress had requested in 2022 that documents that had been withheld for several years be handed over to her about an investigation that the FBI carried out in September 2016, into an alleged physical altercation by Pitt, which involved Jolie, since his children on a private jet.
The actress ended their relationship days after the alleged event and the FBI investigation closed in November 2016 without charges being filed against the ‘Fight Club’ actor.
Jolie gave more details about the alleged incident in October 2022, as part of the Château Miraval lawsuit, claiming that Pitt had “drowned one of the children and punched another in the face.”
The lawsuit filed by Jolie to the FBI under the Freedom of Information Act was considered a “strategic move” by the actress, according to Page Six sources, to obtain any damaging information from Pitt and be able to use it against the interpreter in his fight. legal custody of their children together.
