The ceremony took place this Saturday, August 13, 2022 in Libreville. Football lovers, former footballers, coaches, supporters, sports journalists and many others were also there.

Distinctions and awards to the best footballers, the ceremony of the Gabonese Football Trophies has produced its fruits. The National Association of Professional Footballers of Gabon (ANFPG), in partnership with K-Consulting, celebrated the best players in football. Football enthusiasts were there to support, not only those who are the pride of the national colors, both in the country, but also outside its borders.

Mikel Doussengui, Member of the organizing committee of this ceremony, explained that “The objective of this event is to enhance the status of professional footballers in Gabon and give visibility to the best footballers in the national football championship“. He later argued that this event aims to be a part of the time to encourage the actors to give their best while acting for the best.

Several players were nominated in different categories, but only one of each made it through. From the top scorer to the typical team of the championship, the National Association of Professional Footballers of Gabon, in partnership with K-Consulting, knew how to motivate those they deemed the most deserving.

– The Régis Manon Prize for top scorer goes to Maice Nguélé Yogui of USB, who scored 7 goals. The Young Hope Prize is awarded to Roy Mouniengué of USB. The Jury Prize, that of the best player, is awarded to Flora Bouyi. Ruud Tsoumbou snatches the Germain Mendome Prize for the best goalkeeper.
