Andy Fuchs founded the comparison portal Klikpojisteni.cz (klik.cz) in the Czech Republic almost at the same time as durchblicker was launched in Austria. In 2020, the insurance expert with family roots in Switzerland and Canada successfully brought Klik into the Netrisk Group. After completing his business studies in Canada, Fuchs began his professional career in the Czech Republic in the mid-1990s at Raiffeisenbank Prague. Most recently, Fuchs managed the Netrisk companies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In the future, he will focus on his role as the new CEO of durchblicker.

Service intensification: Hybrid access to the see-through services

With a good feeling, we hand over durchblicker to one of the most experienced managers of comparison portals in Central Europe,” say Baudisch and Doberer.
When asked by AssCompact how the intensification of the service for users should look like in the current economically tense situation, Baudisch replied: “In the future we will place an even stronger focus on personal advice, and thus give our users hybrid access to the create transparent services. This means that in addition to our online comparison calculators, we want to offer personal advice over the phone, live chat, etc. even more than before. We also want to reach target groups that are already making comparisons with us but have not yet dared to take out an online degree. In our opinion, these are also the population groups that are particularly suffering from the current rise in prices.”
At durchblicker, the focus is traditionally on the products of a typical private household in Austria, says Baudisch. “We currently offer comparison calculators for 14 products. This focus will not change in the foreseeable future. Within this segment, standard products such as cars, household items and legal protection are becoming increasingly important, with former niche areas also catching up.”
