The Nokia G60 5G arrived on the Brazilian market as one of several basic mid-range cell phone options from HMD Global. The model left the factory running Android 12, and started to receive Android 13 in the first half of 2023. Now, evidence indicates that the manufacturer has started to test a new update that will bring o Android 14.
A benchmark test carried out on Geekbench with the Nokia G60 5G shows the device running Android 14. The platform does not indicate whether the model is running a stable or beta version of Google’s operating system, however, the listing appears to confirm that the brand is about to release the latest version of the software for cell phone users.
So far, the only cell phone that has officially received the new version of the operating system is the Nokia G42. Meanwhile, a range of Nokia phones and tablets are awaiting the update to Android 14, including the Nokia X30 and Nokia T20.
When released for the Nokia G60 5G, the update to Android 14 will bring with it a set of new features and improvements to the device. The new version of the operating system is expected to offer enhancements in terms of overall system performance, security and privacy, customization, and other improvements.

HMD Global does not usually provide details regarding its software update policy, but this period is around 2 to 3 years. The manufacturer’s website, however, displays the exact period in which each model will stop receiving patches of security, and the Nokia G60 5G should no longer be supported in December 2025.
Big changes seem to be happening at HMD, which is the current manufacturer of cell phones under the “Nokia” brand. The company can start using its brand in a more structured way in launches, planning cell phones that use the “HMD” brand. In Brazil, Brazilian profiles on Nokia Mobile social networks are now called “HMD Brazil”.
