And gone is the Lambo!
The Romanian police are cracking down on internet braggart Andrew Tate (36): On Saturday, more of the influencer’s luxury cars were confiscated from a property near Bucharest. Total value: several hundred thousand euros.
Andrew Tate, his brother Tristan Tate and two Romanian women have been in custody since the end of last year. On Tuesday, a court in Bucharest rejected her appeal once morest the 30-day pre-trial detention.
Means: All four must remain behind bars!
The allegation: The suspects are said to have forced six young women to take part in commercially distributed sex videos that, according to media reports, are said to have been produced in a villa in the village of Voluntari near Bucharest. The prosecutor’s office did not name the exact location of the alleged crime. The Tate brothers have therefore been in the sights of Romanian investigators since April 2021.
Now the Romanian public prosecutor’s office is tightening the noose: the special unit DIICOT, which is responsible for organized crime and investigating human trafficking, money laundering and rape, conducted further house searches – and is now taking away from the Tates what hurts them particularly.
► Photos show how several sports cars are driven from the yard. On the tow came u. a. a Rolls-Royce, two BMWs, a Ferrari and a Porsche. According to reporters from the Archyde.com news agency, the cars were transported from Tate’s property to a storage yard.
The aim of the searches and seizures: The authorities want to prevent assets from being sold or hidden. At the beginning of the week, the public prosecutor announced that they had confiscated 15 luxury vehicles and more than ten properties and houses belonging to the suspects in Bucharest and the surrounding area.
Tate has repeatedly attracted attention in recent years through misogynist statements and hate speech. One of his disgusting theses: women are partly responsible for rapes themselves – and they “belong” to the men.
He was banned from all major social media platforms for statements like these. After the Twitter takeover by Tesla boss Elon Musk (51), his Account with the short message service however reactivated.
Tate, who has US and UK citizenship, rose to fame in 2016 for appearing on the UK edition of the Big Brother show.
At the time, he was thrown out of the container following a video of him hitting a woman with a belt became public.
