How was the party? It always depends on who you ask. In the case of Andrés Felipe Román, one version is his and a very different one is told in Millonarios, where his entire case smacks of betrayal.
In the last few hours, the 26-year-old right-back and the Atlético Nacional board of directors reached a one-year agreement, with a purchase option.
Now, as has been said for months, the player is purslane and that, for many blue fans, erases his many good performances and places him on the sidewalk of ingratitude.
Again, if Román is asked, he will say that he never received a sufficiently attractive offer to renew his contract in the blue, that as a worker he has the right to seek the best professional option, that he felt that his cycle had been completed and, at his age, he believed he had to make the winning leap now or never. And he wouldn’t be wrong.
If you ask Millonarios, specifically its largest shareholder Gustavo Serpa, the story would be different: “Let him go, he doesn’t stay for free, it’s a matter of principles, he goes free,” he told Hernán Peláez. And in that sense There are the options of hundreds of fans, who despise him on social networks now that they see him on the ‘enemy sidewalk’, that of Atlético Nacional They reproach him for the fact that the club supported him when his transfer to Boca Juniors fell due to an alleged illness cardiac arrest that never existed… although it is worth saying, for everyone’s clarity, that in economic terms the real support in that absence, of more than three months, was the ARP which fulfilled its obligations.
So now that he will accompany another former albiazul, Jhon Duque, in Hernán Darío Herrera’s team, the question is open: did Román betray Millonarios, did he stay in Nacional when the MLS failed, or did he plan everything to go to the archrival? What do you think? Participate in our poll:
