Andreas Christensen wants to go to Bayern! It only depends on the salary

The signs are growing: FC Bayern has apparently found a suitable successor for Niklas Süle. According to current media reports, Munich are in advanced talks with Danish international Andreas Christensen. He has already signaled that he is open to a move to the record champions. Nevertheless, Bayern still have to overcome a hurdle.

As “BILD” football boss Christian Falk revealed in his podcast “Bayern Insider”, the Munich team is currently in contact with both Matthias Ginter (Borussia Mönchengladbach) and Andreas Christensen (FC Chelsea). Even if no final decision has been made yet, there is a lot to be said for the Dane at the moment. According to Falk, Bayern favor signing the 25-year-old defender.

FC Barcelona are also vying for the central defender, but Bayern are leading the race for the former Gladbacher. Particularly interesting: As Falk reports, the family of the Danish national player is said to have already signaled that they are positive regarding moving to Munich.

The salary poker is still going on

However, the change is not yet sealed. Reason: Christensen is apparently demanding an annual salary of around 14 million euros. This is well above the expectations of Bayern. FCB recently offered Niklas Süle almost ten million euros. Whether and how these gaps can be closed remains to be seen. Christensen remains the record champions’ number one transfer target today.

Matthias Ginter should only play a minor role. In plain language: If the Christensen transfer bursts, FCB would intensify its efforts at Ginter.
