André Hazes throws son Dré under the bus: ‘Not really talent’ – Show News

André Hazes has recently joined the football coach of his eight-year-old son Dré. The artist receives a lot of questions online about this new job and Dré’s football talent, but André was not really impressed by his little “football talent” at first, he says on Monday: “More of a hockey boy” (see video).

André shares three videos on his Instagram Story in which he perhaps explains Dré’s football development a little too honestly to his followers. “How does Dré do it? Well, I’ll tell you. I don’t know if he’ll see my video, but Dré: this is reality,” André begins nonchalantly. The artist makes no bones about it: “In the beginning I thought: ‘Yes… Maybe he is more of a hockey boy’. I didn’t really think he was a talent, so to speak.”

André admits that he thought it would be better for his son not to play football after seeing him play in the beginning. “But that’s where you go wrong as a parent!”, he thinks. “I really see him developing more and more bizarrely.” His son now trains twice a week, including once at Feyenoord, and also plays a match once a week. “And I really see him getting better and better,” says André proudly (see video below).

‘Your son is really dangerous’

André gives an example from last weekend, when Dré played a match. “We then won 5-4 and Dré had scored four times. That’s what they all want to score, but he had a few insights with passing, which made me think: ‘Yes, he is starting to realize it.’ The trainer of that team also came to me and said: ‘Bro, your son is really dangerous!'” André beams.

He continues proudly: “During halftime they also said: ‘You have to cover that big boy! The one with the pink shoes!’ That’s my child, so I was very proud.” André also summarizes the moral of the story at the end: “If your child says he wants to play football – and you have all kinds of opinions about it (…) -, give it to him! It will happen naturally, let give him a treat. Give it to yourself too, because it’s super fun.”

André also recently went big for Dré’s eighth birthday, which can be seen below:

André Hazes: From Pop Star to Football Coach

Well, folks, it seems the world of football is about to be rocked, and not just by the youth kicking a ball around! André Hazes, the Dutch singer known for belting out those catchy tunes, has jumped headfirst into the role of football coach for his eight-year-old son, Dré. I mean, what could possibly go wrong? It’s like asking a cat to coach a dog; it’s all fur and no play!

Dré’s Early Football Struggles

Initially, André wasn’t exactly popping the champagne over little Dré’s budding football skills. No, he was staring into the abyss of parental disbelief—thinking, “Crikey, this lad’s more of a hockey boy!” But let’s be honest, when the biggest concern is whether your kid can kick a ball or master the complex arts of a slap shot, it’s time to reassess expectations!

The Transformation Journey

But fear not! Little Dré has been undergoing some serious transformation on the pitch. With two training sessions a week and one match, it’s like a mini Premier League on the rise. And what does André have to say about it? He’s become our favorite proud dad, watching his son go from “Where’s the goal?” to “Look at me scoring four!”

Now, that’s a weekend match to brag about. Winning 5-4, with Dré netting a whopping four goals! Someone call the scouts because it sounds like we have a young Messi on our hands. André says the coach even declared, “Bro, your son is really dangerous!” Now, that’s a compliment and a half—next thing you know, the police will be asking for his autograph as a public safety precaution!

Parental Wisdom and Realisation

As André reflects on his initial doubts, he’s learned that throwing a little faith into the sport can reap surprise results. “If your child says he wants to play football – and you’ve got all kinds of opinions about it – give it to him!” he advises. A bit of sage wisdom we could all use a bit of—especially those of us who might need the nudge to get off the sofa and join our kids for a kickabout.

So, not only is André living the dream by attending matches as a supportive dad, but he’s also demonstrating the power of optimism and letting kids explore their passions—whether that’s football, ballet, or, dare I say it… competitive knitting!

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, André is not just stepping into his role as a coach; he’s embracing the chaos, the joy, and the hilarity that comes with parenting in the world of youth sports. And let’s not forget the cake! We’ve heard Dré had quite the extravagant eighth birthday bash—because what’s a successful soccer career without some cake to celebrate, right?

So here’s to André Hazes! May he continue to guide his son with the same passion and maybe a touch of that cheeky zest for life we all adore. And to Dré—keep those pink shoes on, because it looks like you’re going to be running circles around everyone!

Remember, folks: life is all about kicking goals—on and off the field! Cheers!
