Andohalo, Antananarivo, 17.11.2022. Meeting of Jean Pascal (Auxiliary Bishop) and Jeannot Pascal (Perpetual Journalist)…

When we listen to this Bible scholar, appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Antananarivo by Pope Francis on July 8, 2019, whether in public or on audiovisual channels, we understand that we are dealing with a scholar who shines with a sense of divine communication. He was also Rector of the interdiocesan philosophical seminary of Antsirabe. This, after having studied the Holy Scriptures at the Pontifical Institute in Rome, having enabled him to become Prefect of Studies at the Seminary of Antsirabe. All this, between 2007 and 2011.

Also, when I saw Monsignor Jean Pascal in the courtyard of Andohalo Cathedral, rather than trying to ask him questions, I immediately preferred to ask this exceptional man, one of the pillars of the translation of the Jerusalem Bible into the Malagasy language.

Jean Pascal Andrianasoavina was born on March 24, 1969 in Mitsinjo, in the Boeny region. He was ordained a priest in the year 2000. He was then in turn Vicar of the Cathedral of Andohalo, Chaplain of the Eucharistic Youth Movement and also Youth Chaplain of the Archdiocese of Antananarivo.
