The STF asked Bolsonaro’s former minister for explanations regarding the wrong passwords within the scope of the inquiry into coup acts.
247 – The defense of former Minister of Justice Anderson Torres told the Federal Supreme Court (STF) that he did not send the correct passwords to his data cloud to the Federal Police (PF) due to “lapses of memory”. Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes asked Torres for explanations regarding the wrong passwords.
“In this scenario, in view of the applicant’s current mental state, with frequent memory lapses and cognitive difficulties, confirming the validity of passwords, in today’s circumstances, proves to be extremely difficult”, said Torres’ lawyers, according to reports published by the G1 portal.
Torres has been in prison since January 14, on suspicion of omission in the coup acts of January 8, when Bolsonarists invaded Praça dos Três Poderes in Brasília (DF). The defense must provide information regarding the invalid passwords it provided. The PF suspects that the former minister has provided false information or will claim that he ended up giving wrong information.
This Friday (28), Supreme Minister Luis Roberto Barroso rejected yet another request for freedom presented by the ex-minister’s lawyers.
