Sporting Anderlecht is going through very complicated times. A big sponsor might even, very soon, set sail.
Indeed the Newspaper knows that the sponsorship contract with the National Lottery is more threatened than ever. In 2018, the various parties signed a five-year contract. While the date of the end of the collaboration (note: June 30) is fast approaching, the sponsor wonders, for its part, if the fact of sponsoring the Mauves really corresponds to its main activity. Number 35 receives 1.35 million euros per year thanks to this partnership.
The National Lottery might, however, extend the contract but, nevertheless, under reduced conditions. Case to follow.
A disastrous season
This season, Brian Riemer and his players finished the championship in a very sad and dramatic eleventh place. An exercise to forget as soon as possible for the most successful club in Belgium. While the Playoffs are regarding to end, Anderlecht should, for its part, begin its pre-season preparation in the coming days.
