Asuncion, IP Agency.- In the presence of the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, the National Electricity Administration (ANDE) inaugurated this Friday the works to reinforce the public lighting system of the city of Caazapá, which involved the installation of 261 LED-type devices.
These works included the reinforcement of the Low Voltage network and the installation of new LED type public lighting devices at the entrance to the city of Caazapá, from the entrance to the “Don Eduardo Schaerer Vera y Aragón” Aerodrome on Route PY08 Dr. Blas Garay to the Roundabout and throughout the main avenue Mariscal Estigarribia.
ANDE President Félix Sosa highlighted that the section with reinforced lighting covers seven kilometers, where a total of 261 LED lights were installed, a more efficient, sustainable and higher quality technology.
These improvements provide greater security and comfort to more than 26,000 residents of this town, in addition to benefiting occasional pedestrians and vehicles that travel through the area.
The project involved a total investment of 1,043,127,858 guaraníes, financed with ANDE’s own funds.
At the inauguration ceremony, the president of ANDE stated that these works are being carried out following the instructions of President Santiago Peña, to prioritize actions that contribute to the well-being of citizens.
He also stated that there is sufficient energy availability in the department to support investment initiatives that generate employment at the local level.
In this regard, he mentioned that the rolling mill that is being installed in the area already has 2,500 Kva of power secured so that it can operate without any kind of inconvenience.
“We have enough energy availability in the Caazapá department to supply more investors who want to settle in this area,” he said.
