Specifically, in its announcement, the DIPETHE of Patras states the following: “The proposal of the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Municipal Regional Theater of Patras, Mr. Lydias Karathanasopoulou, was unanimously approved by the Board of Directors of the DIPETHE of Patras, the tender notice for the filling the position of Artistic Director to meet the needs of the Theater and its Drama School.
The term of office of the Director is set at two years with the possibility of a one-year extension.
The required qualifications of the Artistic Director are as follows:
1. The Artistic Director of DI.PE.THE Patras may be hired regardless of holding a specific educational level, excluding the HE educational level. For this position, a person of recognized prestige who has particularly distinguished himself in the field of theater or who has dealt with theater issues professionally and who has one of the following qualities will be selected:
1.a Director, actor primarily or composer, choreographer, set designer, costume designer, with a recognized contribution to the professional theater.
1.b Playwright, translator of works, dramatist, theater critic with professional work in the theater.
2. To have at least 10 years of professional experience in the organization and management of theater productions.
3. To have management experience or cooperation with DIPETHE and to have experience in teaching the art of acting, teaching or management experience in a Drama School.
4. To have administrative and organizational skills that can be certified by attending relevant studies or seminars or by previous service in another administrative position of an artistic organization.
The candidate for the position of Artistic Director, together with the application, is invited to submit a file with his general and specific proposals for the Patras DI.PE.THE, to the address, Othonos Amalias 6, for the consideration of the President of the Board Lydias Karathanasopoulos .
