PistonHeads.com is one of the biggest ‘marketplaces’ for sports and premium cars in the UK. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the brand, the team has set up an election which only brings together dreamy sports cars, having been produced over the past 25 years. Here are the big winners.

We start nicely, with the best sports sedan: it is the BMW M5 E39 (1995-2004). Then, in the dynamic compact section, we find the most modern of the winners: the Toyota GR Yaris. In the “Sports Car” category, the Lotus Elise S1 (1996-2000) won unanimous support. For fun on the circuit, the PistonHeads team hailed the Caterham 620R. Finally, we end with something heavy: according to the British team, the best supercar of the last 25 years is none other than the Porsche Carrera GT produced from 2003 to 2006. It is true that its V10 engine located in the rear central position, married to a manual transmission, and its 612 horsepower at the rear wheels, are enough to make any car enthusiast shiver.
