Fronsac: and seven in 2023!
What a year achieved by Fronsac (Laetender Diem)! At 8 years old, Jean-Marie Roubaud’s protégé has had a season close to perfection. After a few races necessary to get back into shape following a break in the winter of 2022-2023, Fronsac was able to win seven races in eleven attempts, plus a 2nd place very recently behind the good Guerrière Wind (Bird Parker). Steve Stefano, winning driver, explained on Equidia how he was able to fend off Géant Sarthois (Radjah de l’Abbaye): “He’s cold and I was a little scared in the final but he’s a great horse who gives his heart on the track. I dedicate this victory to Kevin Devienne who entrusted me with his horse, while he was recovering from his knee. I hope he is happy with it.”
I am perhaps more tired than him following the race (S. Stefano on the podium in Lyon)

Influence Julry for a first
Influence Julry progresses
Protected by Jean-Paul Gauvin, Influence Julry (Kesaco Phedo) had so far won twice but never on the sand. It is now done by showing pugnaciousness to, firstly, extricate himself from the peloton then in order to go to the post under the hand of Bertrand Ruet who declared on the Equidia microphone: “Jean-Paul m’ had said: ‘if you can lead her, you have a first chance’. He was right. I took the risk of going on the rope and I was able to shift in front. She’s a nice mare who has the spleen.” This Influence Julry had started his career badly, with five consecutive disqualifications. She gradually catches up with time and allows us to remember her mother Nikita Julry, of whom she is the 4th product. Nikita, winner in the Center-East and at Vincennes, concluded her career with some 17 victories on the clock.
