In winter, the clever “3Täler” (three valleys) ski pass is valid for all ski areas and mountain shuttles in the region. Thanks to the short distances between the areas, it is possible to test a different one every day — for example Damüls-Mellau, Diedamskopf in Au-Schoppernau and Warth-Schröcken. A good idea is also to take the Auenfeldjet cable car at Warth-Schröcken to reach the immense Arlberg ski area, the fifth largest area in the world.

The Bregenzerwald also invites you to enjoy the joys of winter in slow tourism mode, by practicing winter hiking, cross-country skiing, cross-country skiing, sledding, snowshoeing or by opting for an outing in a pulled horse-drawn carriage. by horses. Offered by four localities, these individual tours, bookable at the Bregenzerwald tourist office, lead from one meal to another, while crossing the most beautiful landscapes. Des randSnowshoe hikes lead on marked trails, but also through fields and forests. They are accompanied by experienced mountain guides who show you places that you would probably not have found on your own: nature reserves such as the Fohramoos in Bödele, a high-altitude peat bog, but also hidden valleys like the romantic Mellental.
