At the end of an evening full of emotions which saw fifteen candidates from the Var and the Alpes-Maritimes (Grasse, Cannes, Saint-Raphaël, Fréjus) compete, the Niçoise Flavy Barla, in her third year of medicine, was crowned Miss Côte d’Azur 2022 on Tuesday evening by the public and the jury, at the Roman theater in Fréjus. “Thank you to everyone who supported me. Sandy Ieni of Cannes was named first runner-up and Lorna Ferrero, Marie Tripodi and Candice Badin were also rewarded.
The new Miss Côte d’Azur, who succeeds Valeria Pavelin, will fly to Papillon Island in Guadeloupe and will join Châteauroux to participate in rehearsals for the Miss France bonus. The latter will take place at the Zénith de Châteauroux in Center Val-de-Loire on December 17.
The misses chained several parades under the admiring gaze of the public: a first scene in frilly sequined dresses and Venetian masks, a second choreography in a pink low-cut evening dress on “Say so” by Doja Cat, without forgetting the last two themes , surely the most anticipated: the podium in a one-piece swimsuit and the bodysuit in rhinestones and peacock feathers, inspired by Brazilian samba outfits.
40 seconds to convince
The candidates also had 40 seconds to describe their career with a touch of humor and share their motivations.
The public voted to elect the new Miss, but the jury also awarded a prize to Lorna Baldini (Vallauris), candidate number 3.
The latter was made up of a few deputy mayors of Fréjus, including Martine Petrus-Benhamou, delegate for culture, Christophe Chiocca, delegate for tourism, Charles Marchand, delegate for neighborhood life and Brigitte Lancine, deputy for housing, as well as communication managers from Miss France. , stylists and an influencer.
