PODCAST Ancur, led by Diaz Danar, Patra Gumala, and Randhika Jamil, is holding a talent search competition in Podcast Hunt 2024. Podcast Hunt 2024 will look for new podcasters who produce video podcasts.
Registration will run from September 5–21, 2024, which will then be filtered into the top 50 finalists in the initial stage. After being selected, the 50 podcasts will be eligible to attend the workshop, and will then be filtered into the top 20.
The prizes offered, for the first winner is entitled to receive cash of Rp25 million, the second winner receives Rp15 million, and the third winner gets Rp5 million. Each winner will also receive a set of podcast equipment, including for the favorite winner. The winners will also get a one-year contract to join the management of Podcast Ancur.
“The initial idea actually came about two years ago. The trigger was because the three of us were always tagged on social media, by podcasters, to listen to their content. And there were so many of them. From there we came up with the idea of Podcast Hunt,” said Patra Gumala during a press conference at IDN HQ, Gatot Subroto, Jakarta, Thursday, (5/9).
Diaz Danar added that the podcast industry in Indonesia has experienced rapid development over the past five years. For that, he and Podcast Ancur want to contribute to encouraging the birth of new stars in the podcast world. It is hoped that in the future there will also be regeneration and encourage the industry to become more established.

Randhika Jamil also said that Podcast Hunt 2024 could also be a catalyst for expanding the podcast ecosystem. According to him, in various cities outside Jakarta there are many podcasters who have the potential to develop further. Later, through this competition, participants will also gain insight into the development of their podcast intellectual property. Starting from adaptation into a film to works in other forms, such as those done by Podcast Agak Laen.
In this competition, Oki Rengga from Podcast Agak Laen and Novita Angie from Podcast Yolo will be the judges. According to Diaz, both names have proven their abilities in the podcast world. Oki, together with Agak Laen, has succeeded in developing the intellectual property of his podcast. While Novita is seen as an icon of the broadcasting world.
“Intellectual property (IP) of the podcast bid so everywhere. For example, Agak Laen, in addition to future films, there will also be several that are developed. Starting from a podcast, it could be a film or even a band playing at a festival. It is important that the podcaster is consistent. Because it could be anything.
