Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has stepped up the intensity of his preparations for the European Super Cup final, three days before facing Italian side Atalanta in Warsaw, with a training session lasting more than two hours.

Ancelotti needs time to fit all the pieces of his squad together and instill the tactical tweaks he will make to the starting lineup for the arrival of Frenchman Kylian Mbappé.

The forward is counting down the hours until his debut with Real Madrid and has completed his fifth training session at the Valdebebas training ground, the third with all his teammates, to whom he is adapting in each session, as he plays more minutes in the small-sided matches prepared by the coaching staff.

The first two days he worked alongside Dani Carvajal, Ferland Mendy, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Eduardo Camavinga, Fede Valverde and Jude Bellingham, the latest Real Madrid players to join the pre-season. They have all worked during their holidays and are in good physical shape for the European Super Cup next Wednesday in Warsaw.

The Real Madrid squad, without the injured David Alaba, began their morning with strength training in the gym. Later, on the pitch, the tactical part gained importance before the ball exercises and the intense matches in which everyone is looking to make a place for themselves in Ancelotti’s first team.

It was the day in which the Real Madrid players completed the most training time, and on Monday, from 10:00 a.m., they will slow down as the first official match of the new season approaches.
