Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, coach of Real Madrid, praised his young Brazilian star, Vinicius Junior, following his success in making up for the absence of French top scorer Karim Benzema.

Benzema, Real Madrid’s top scorer in the Spanish League, missed the confrontation at Osasuna stadium on Saturday evening, which came before meeting Liverpool at home the day following tomorrow, Tuesday, in the sixteen round of the Champions League.

Vinicius scored two goals that were disallowed for offside once morest Osasuna, and he also set up Federico Valverde’s first goal to contribute to Real’s victory with two unanswered goals and reduce the difference with Barcelona in the lead to five points.

Ancelotti said in a press conference: It is clear that Vinicius is a player who makes the difference, he made an amazing match, he is an exceptional footballer.

He pointed out: What I liked most is what we did in the second half and what we might have done in the first half. What I liked the most is that the team didn’t lose their mental focus and were patient in the closing stages.

The Italian coach concluded by saying: The team performed well, we (Osasuna) made them suffer at the right time and we are happy with that.
