The Minister of Defense, José Gavidia, assured that he is already in the disaster area with police officers and Army personnel.
“We are in the disaster area. It is a hill that has buried 50 houses and continues to fall. I have come with police teams, with the heads of the police region. There are 60 PNP officers and 70 Army officers are on the move. Gavidia told RPP.
“At the moment, no injuries or deaths have been reported, but due to the large amount of dust, there are children affected by respiratory emergencies who are already being treated,” added the minister.
“The Police are evacuating all the people from the houses, at least three blocks from the collapse because it is a very large hill and, if it continues to move, it might affect more. The Indeci specialists will determine how far they present risks,” accurate.
