Tunisia’s Anas Jabeur easily defeated Chinese qualifier Bai Chuchuan 6-1, 6-1 in just 45 minutes to qualify for the third round of Wimbledon.

Anas Jaber is seeking to win the tournament following losing the final last year to Elena Rybakina, and performed a perfect attacking performance once morest the Chinese player.

Anas had no difficulty overcoming Bay, who made many easy mistakes.

“It was a good match. (Bay) played the qualifiers and qualified (for the main draw). I think her campaign was great in the tournament, so I wish her all the best. But I tried to play as one of the top ten players,” Anas said.

“Here I try to work a lot on my serve. I think the statistics will reflect the improvement of the serve,” she added.

Bay slipped and fell while trying to catch a falling ball played by Anas in the first set, but she quickly got up to receive a greeting from the audience.

Anas did not have mercy on her competition and decided the match at the first opportunity she had.
