Analyzing Streamer Ilya Maddyson Davydov’s Skepticism and Opinions on Baldur’s Gate 3: A Critical Review of the Game’s Development and Early Access

Streamer Ilya Maddyson Davydov talked about the game Baldur’s Gate 3. He wrote a big post on Telegram, in which he was skeptical about the new product. At the same time, the content maker added that he would be glad if his opinion about the title turned out to be erroneous. Published with the spelling and punctuation of the source preserved In fact, I would not be surprised at all if 90 percent of this game again (as in both divisions) fights with six skeletons 40 minutes each, and each chapter is a map (such as a large desert, a swamp, a tropical island) where there are almost no quests, settlements, few NPCs, a ton of chests and barrels of garbage, and a couple of dungeons with push-button puzzles, invisible traps and (where without them) all the same skeletons and zombies. I answer, earlier in the games of these developers, the whole world around was a clearing (connected by gut-shaped roads) with skeletons that you need to jerk off for half an hour on any difficulty, at any stage of the game, since larians are famous for the most disgusting step in which each enemy must be like and it’s too long. I would be glad to be wrong, maybe only the beginning is like this, and then vooo, but in general, people are strangely hype. Already, the character editor, where 8 faces were reeled and nothing can be configured, has become the best in history and the game is already a masterpiece for the ages. In short, I’m still skeptical about all this, but I’m a longtime larian hater. By the way, all this is not very similar to the old BGs both in style and in combat. I’ll be glad to be wrong and if I see an open world with interesting locations, quests, a plot, interesting characters and a small number of stuffy fights on other people’s streams, which can also be avoided in different ways, and I’ll also see normal objective reviews, not squeals 10/10 crowd, then maybe I’ll give it another chance. Earlier, Timur Ahilles Kulmukhambetov, an analyst of the Virtus.pro Dota 2 roster, shared his opinion about Baldur’s Gate 3. “I didn’t understand why in early access there were more options when creating a character’s face,” Kulmukhambetov noted. On August 3, Baldur’s Gate 3 was released on PC. At the same time, the game has been in early access since 2020, and it took six years to develop the title. On the PlayStation 5 console, the novelty will be available on September 6th.
