Analyst predicts “iPhones 15/15 Plus” with 48MP cameras

A new forecast from Haitong International Securities analyst, Jeff Pureiterated the possibility that the “iPhone 15” and the “iPhone 15 Plus” have a new sensor on one of the rear cameras, whose main lens may have 48 megapixels — the same one used in the iPhone 14 Pro models [Max].

More precisely, such a new sensor should have three layers, which might allow more light to be captured, resulting in even better images — especially in low-light environments.

Pu, however, said that this component would be facing yield problems, something that threatens the production schedule of the next entry/intermediate models. Despite this, it is believed that the development of these iPhones is still on schedule and that the possible launch in September will be maintained.

On the same note, Pu returned to talk regarding port implementation USB-C on all models of the “iPhones 15”, in addition to the storage capacities will remain the same as the iPhone 14 lineup and that, while non-Pro models will use the chip A16the top-of-the-line models will move to the A17.

It is worth noting that this is not the first prediction that the analyst has made regarding the next generation of iPhones. Last month, he said Apple would keep the physical volume buttons on upcoming high-end models, which might get even more expensive in the US, he also said.
