Ana García: Juan Orlando Hernández will return, “it is a prophetic decree”

Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Since the former president John Orlando Hernandez was extradited to the United States, his family, headed by Ana Garcíabegan a campaign on social networks with the slogan “He will return”.

In the most recent video published by the former first lady of the nation, the wife of the former head of state assured that this word “is not empty”, but that it is a “prophetic decree”.

“It is important that you know that Juan Orlando is not a criminal, he is not a drug trafficker. He will return, it is not an empty word, it is a prophetic decree ”, were the words pronounced by García.

On the other hand, she maintained that her husband, while he was president of Honduras for eight years, dedicated himself to fighting crime that has plagued the nation for decades.

“Juan Orlando put his chest forward to fight crime,” said the former first lady in the same video uploaded to her official Twitter account.

Juan Orlando Hernández, in telephone conversations with his wife, usually expresses the love he feels for her, while he remains confined in a United States prison awaiting his trial.

It was the former first lady herself who made this intimate situation known, stating in turn that she and Hernández have always been a united couple. “(…) in the midst of this situation, there are days that he has told me: Ana, I only call you to listen to you and tell you how much I love you,” García said days ago.

The former Honduran president, who governed between 2014 and 2022, is accused of three charges related to drug trafficking by the Court of the Southern District of New York.

There, dozens of Hondurans accused of similar crimes, including his brother, Juan Antoniohave had their executioners in the Prosecutor’s Office and judges, even being sentenced to life imprisonment.
