Al-Marsad Newspaper – SPA: Yesterday, the Food and Drug Authority stopped the production line of a food factory in Najran, following monitoring contamination in raw materials.
The SFDA stated that the monitoring and investigation operations led its inspectors to detect contamination in the products of raw materials used in the manufacturing process in a food factory in Najran, and the appearance of mold and insects and traces of corruption on them, in addition to a number of other technical violations.
The authority confirmed that it had stopped the factory’s production line and seized the raw materials and the entire factory’s products, noting that it had summoned the owner of the facility to complete the legal procedures once morest the factory, and samples were being taken from the local market to ensure the safety of the product.
It called on the “Food and Drug Administration” to report violations of the facilities under its supervision by calling the unified number (19999), or through the authority’s “Tamni” application available on the “IOS” and “Android” operating systems.
