An unprecedented update to iOS 16 before the end of the year, get to know it

Apple plans to add a new Clean Energy Charging option in an upcoming iOS 16 update released yesterday, later this year, in the US.

The company said clean energy charging will improve charging times when the grid uses cleaner energy sources.

Other Features Awaited for iOS 16

With its Clean Energy Charging scheme, Apple aims to reduce the carbon footprint of iPhones.

This is the first time we’ve heard of clean energy charging, a feature that Apple hasn’t previously highlighted.

There are several other features not available in iOS 16 and coming in a later update, including shared iCloud Photo Library, Live Activities, and support for the Matter smart home standard.

Apple also didn’t implement Game Center SharePlay support, contact integration, Freeform, key-sharing, or easy shortcut setup.
