Sheikha Noor bint Fahim Al Qasimi, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Make a Wish Foundation, praised the leadership of the Institute of Applied Technology at the Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training in the field of social responsibility, for encouraging its leadership, administrative and student cadres to positively interact with community issues, and to contribute to achieving the leadership’s ambitions for permanent advancement. of a community of solidarity, development and prosperity in the United Arab Emirates.
This came following Sheikha Noor bint Fahim Al Qasimi and Dr. Ahmed Abdel Manan Al Awar, Director General of the Institute of Applied Technology at the Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, signed a partnership agreement in the areas of providing social, humanitarian and national services of common interest in order to achieve the vision and strategic objectives of both parties.
Sheikha Noor Al Qasimi stressed that the agreement is gaining importance as it is in line with the leadership’s directives in spreading and enhancing feelings of happiness, hope and joy among members of society, and motivating young people to contribute to volunteer work, which today has become a feature of Emirati society, and an opportunity that allows young people to move towards wider horizons and support the fifty-year journey. The coming UAE will reach global leadership in the field of humanitarian work.
She added that the agreement contributes to supporting the work and strategy of the Foundation to achieve a noble humanitarian wish, which is to fulfill the wishes of children suffering from critical health conditions to provide them with hope and strength to continue the course of treatment, as well as to spread societal awareness of the importance of this lofty goal through distinct and diverse means.
She said, “I am confident that the Make-A-Wish agreement with the Institute of Applied Technology constitutes an important turning point for the work, initiatives and activities of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and contributes to fulfilling more wishes of children with serious illnesses that threaten their lives, while lighting a candle of hope in their hearts with their families.”
Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Manan Al-Awar said: “This agreement is appreciated by everyone, as it enhances the values of compassion among members of society, and develops morals among our sons and daughters in order to build a creative and moral generation that serves our young state in all its vital fields, and sets an example in humanitarian and societal aspects, In addition to their scientific and academic excellence, which is what is focused and reinforced by the work system at the Institute of Applied Technology and the affiliated institutions represented by Fatima College of Health Sciences, Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, and Applied Technology High Schools, appreciating the importance of the agreement with the Make A Wish Foundation, because of its influential humanitarian, social and voluntary dimensions, He stressed that the cooperation of the Institute, its institutions and its cadres with a security institution would have the greatest impact.
