Most offers on the Russian secondary market are faceless cars that differ from each other only in color and form factor. But this particular car is an exception to the rule, because it is a significantly modernized UAZ Profi.
The authors of the project claim that they spent a year on its implementation. Most of the time was spent on the development of personal interlocks (pneumatic 100 percent forced) for Toyota gearboxes.
It was decided to leave the engine stock – this is a 150-horsepower engine paired with a Dymos manual gearbox.
The result was an ultra-off-road pickup truck with six wheels called “DEFA 6×6”. The main difference between this “UAZ” and a simple “Pro” is the presence of an additional axle, as well as an independent suspension with a stroke of 20 to 30 cm.
The ground clearance of this monster was at least 52 cm. The drive is rear, and on all 4 wheels with the ability to connect the front end (electric). Here is what other sellers write regarding their car:
“Three pneumatic locks 100%, in final drives there are helical gears of excellent quality, a stainless steel body, winches front and rear, a stainless steel tank.”
Now the authors of the project are trying to resolve the issue of re-equipment in order to legitimize all the changes that have occurred with this UAZ.
Despite this, the car has already been put up for sale and costs 3 million rubles. At the same time, it is argued that it is possible to build exactly the same car on the basis of a completely new UAZ Profi, but already for the amount of 4 million 500 thousand rubles.
The developers of DEFA 6×6 see the next project as an SUV, which will be built on the basis of the Niva.
