An official statement from “Bahrain” regarding the inclusion of an Israeli officer in its army • Al-Marsad Newspaper

Al-Marsad newspaper: The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs said today, Saturday, that the mission of the Israeli officer attached to the Bahraini army comes within the framework of arrangements related to an international coalition that includes more than thirty-four countries.

The ministry added in a statement, according to what was published by the Bahrain News Agency, that “what was circulated in some foreign media regarding the appointment of an Israeli officer comes within the framework of arrangements related to an international coalition that includes more than thirty-four countries.”

And she added, “The mission of this coalition is to secure freedom of navigation in the territorial waters of the region, to protect international trade, and to confront acts of piracy and terrorism in the region.”

It is noteworthy that the King of Bahrain, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, received, on February 3, the Israeli Minister of Defense, Benny Gantz, during the second visit to Bahrain, and the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations and the course of cooperation between the two countries, according to what was reported by the Bahrain News Agency at the time of the visit.
