An offer he couldn’t refuse makes the director say goodbye

With effect from 1 December, ‘HP’ has quit his job to become full-time festival manager at Thy Rock, with which he has been synonymous for many years.

– I got an offer that I simply couldn’t say no to. Thy Rock has been a big part of my life since 2000 and has today grown to a size where it has proved necessary to have a full-time festival manager. Thy Rock has developed enormously in recent years, and I look forward to continuing that development, says Hans Peter Jarl Madsen in a press release from Mors-Thy Handball.

He lets it be understood that the decision has not been easy.

– There are big emotions involved with this decision. I smile with one eye and cry with the other. It has been a fantastic time in Mors-Thy Handball, where we have managed to raise sponsorship support to the largest in the club’s history.

– I have enjoyed every second when we, with Mors-Thy Handball, have managed to link Thy and Mors together around a joint local project and at the same time have achieved some of the best sporting results in the club’s history. The collaboration with the sponsors, the players, the team on and off the pitch, the volunteers and not least Bette Balkan contains experiences that I will take with me for the rest of my life, says Hans Peter Jarl Madsen.

Mors-Thy Handball is now looking for a new sales and event manager.

– We have been able to follow Thy Rock’s success and rapid growth from the sidelines. Therefore, there is full understanding on the part of Mors-Thy Handball when you are offered a job of that caliber. Still, we mourn the loss of losing such a talented employee. It’s a pair of really big shoes we now have to fill, and the work to find the right replacement starts now, says managing director, Ian Marko Fog.
