Alén de la Patagonia, is an animated series made by the Patagonian University Institute of the Arts (IUPA) in co-production with the children’s channel PakaPaka, and will premiere on Monday, September 4 on the national screen, at 4:00 p.m.

The series has 8 chapters. It was created and produced by Iupa Toons, the institution’s Animation Area, in co-production with the channel for children. A chapter can be seen every day at 3:00 p.m. on PakaPaka, a public channel of the Ministry of Education of the Nation, aimed at boys and girls from 2 to 12 years old, which includes microprograms, documentaries and cartoons.

Alén (which means “clarity” in the Mapuche language) is a 10-year-old girl, curious, happy and with her dog Ayún, she visits her grandmother in Villa Aliwé every summer. She also together with Beto, her friend, They experience funny situations there exploring the nature of the place, getting to know its people, myths and legends.

The project is crossed by the ecological theme, conservation and new knowledge; In addition, it delves into the different types of ties that the character maintains in her environment. Beyond Patagonia aims to entertain and educate to boys and girls, young people and adults, with a regional accent and imprint, but with a universal character.
