An Italian actress who fights against feminicides

On the occasion of the arrival of the Italians from Bioglio from September 2 to 4 as part of the twinning between Valcourt and the Italian municipality of Bioglio, Anna Maria Spina, renowned Italian actress and comedian, was present among the Piedmontese delegation. The latter, who notably played alongside the famous Italian actor Pierfrancesco Favino in the film “The Traitor” directed by Marco Bellocchio in 2019, made the members of the committee aware of her commitment to the fight against violence against women. It is a personal drama where she almost died from the blows of her ex-husband who gave her the strength to mobilize in this fight. She was particularly touched by the presence of red benches in the village as in Bioglio. A red color in memory of the victims of feminicides. Anna Maria Spina shares her commitment whenever she has the opportunity. “On our side, we want to give a first name of one of the women killed in 2022 to each red bench in the village”, underlined the mayor Jean-Marc Lasson, present alongside the president of the twinning committee Jean-Noël Rambert.
