An Israeli official reveals the effects of suspending US arms shipments to Israel on “operational plans”

Israel – A senior Israeli official confirmed that US President Joe Biden’s statement regarding suspending arms shipments to Israel will harm operational plans in the war, and will push Israel to launch an “arms economy.”

The Israeli official’s statements came yesterday, Thursday, to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation “Kan”, indicating that there had been a delay by the US administration in the arms shipment during the month of April, with increasing activity in Rafah.

Biden said tonight in an interview with CNN that Washington would not send weapons to Israel if it invaded Rafah on a large scale.

According to him: “Civilians have been killed in Gaza because of these bombs and because of other ways that harm population centers. I made it clear that if they entered Rafah – and they have not entered Rafah yet – I would not provide them with the weapons they used in the past to attack cities.”

Sources in the security circles in Israel expressed their fear of the deterioration of relations at the political level between Tel Aviv and the administration in Washington, pointing out that “enemies may exploit this crisis to delegitimize the military campaign in the Gaza Strip.”

For his part, a senior officer said in an interview with the newspaper “Haaretz” that when the Americans warn, they should be listened to, saying, “Those who think that they are merely issuing threats are mistaken.”
